Micromax just announced E311 Nitro 2 with the price tag of around 10,491 INR and the device is already available for sales at plenty of online stores such as infibeam and shop clues. This new device is the successor of A310 Nitro, which had an average sale compared to rivals like Yureka and Honor 4x. Let’s see what specifications and features this device has to offer and find out that whether this device will stand out or not?
The new Nitro 2 is a 12.9 cm long smartphone with a super thin 7.5mm body having pretty smooth edges, but the body to screen ratio is a bit disappointing. This device comes with a 5 inch IPS LCD HD touch screen with the resolution of 720×1280 pixels. For protection, Micromax has provided Gorilla glass 3.
Micromax Nitro 2 runs on a cortex A-7 Octa core processor with a Mediatek MT6592 SoC clocked at 1.4 Ghz. Surprisingly, there is no support for 4G/LTE with this SoC. There is a 2 GB DDR3 RAM and 16 GB of on borad storage which can be expanded up to 32 GB via a Micro SD card.
The device runs on Android 4.4.2 Kitkat with no guarantee of any update from the manufacturer and comes with all the basic features of Google Now. There is a 2400 mAh li-Ion battery available to run this smartphone.
The camera seems to be a plus point of this device. A 13 MP camera combined with Sony CMOS sensor and Largan 5P lens with f/2.2 aperture. There is a 5 MP front facing camera too.
The specifications of the device just don’t make sense as per its price of 10,000 INR and even Lenovo A6000 plus, which is about 3k less costly than Nitro 2 has got better specifications.
